| Research Areas |
Areas of interest include non-invasive monitoring of the well-being of the fetus involving SQUID (Superconducting Quantum Interference Device) technology with a device called SARA, specifically fetal magnetoencephalography (MEG), magnetomyography (MMG) of the uterus, and fetal magnetocardiography(MCG). Signal processing and computation analysis of biomedical signals including - Baseline fetal brain activity. Auditory and visual evoked responses, Fetal cardiac activity, Fetal movement type and quantification in correlation with other systems and Fetal breathing in utero. Non-linear analysis –chaos and fractal analysis of time-series biological signals. Modeling of uterine smooth muscle activity at multiple scales from cellular level to organ level.
